Audio Systems: blown components and static, speaker tweeters, ac voltmeter

Question
The platform is a 2007 dodge 1500 short cab. I am running the stock deck with an audio converter, I am not sure of the make but it was around 50 dollars. I am running two amps both Memphis Audio, a mono block 1000, and a Memphis 200 two channel. The doors are OZ audio component sets 6 1/2's. The subs are OZ audio 12's matrix series. I am happy with the low range. I have static from my tweeters and I have blown one midwoofer, two sets of tweeters and two crossovers. The installation shop called OZ audio and OZ said their tweeters in the matrix line couldn't handle upwards of 75 watts and sent me a pair of elite line tweeters. The stereo sounds sick, but I am worried about more component failure, and there is all that crazy static. I am thinking about buying a new deck, but I am not sure about sinking another grand into what has become a three grand project. Any suggestions? Oh and the original shop that I bought those subs from suggested them for my truck. They put them in two single 3/4 foot boxes, when the subs needed more that two cubic foot. I have been fighting a long expensive battle here. So on top of the static, now that I have the right box for the subs I have forfeited all my leg room. I appreciate your time.

Answer
It's not static, it's distortion. Two things to prevent this distortion:

Don't exceed the RMS wattage rating of any speaker (tweeters included).

Set the gain right. The purpose of the gain is to match the signal volts RMS coming from the source (CD player, etc.) to the input of the amp to prevent clipping (damage by over powering).

Here is a guide that will help you set the gain correctly http://www.datafilehost.com/download.php?file=6d26c621

You'll need a multi-meter (AC voltmeter), Microsoft Excel and a way to burn an audio CD from an MP3.

If you don't have Excel, email  or IM me sparky3489@yahoo.com

Also to really have better SQ throughtout, I would recommend and aftermarket deck with pre-outs for the amps. That LOC will only have low quality.
