GMC Repair: 1990 Geo Prism, 1990 geo prism, distributer cap

1990 Geo Prism won't start, has fire to distributer cap but not to the plugs, is getting fuel.  Just helped grandson buy the car in July 04 and don't know any history on it.

First thing I need is more information as to what type of ignition/fuel system you have. Does your vehicle utilize only ONE coil or more ?.

Does your system utilize a CAMSHAFT and or a CRANKSHAFT sensor ?.
