Audio Systems: RADIO FM HAS ONLY STATIG IS NOT WORKING, fm radio tuner, antenna connection

my ALPINE AUDIO car fm radio tuner is not working it has only stating how i can fix it

Answer
The first thing to check is the antenna connection.  If the cable has been cut or is shorted to the frame, there it will not function correctly.  Also, there should be a noise filter on the power line.  If that has failed, then engine noise will over-ride any signal.  If you are unsure on how to check for these issues, check with an installation company.
