Audio Systems: 1996 ford explorer adding XM problems, ford vehicle, factory cd

Question
I have a 1996 Ford Explorer with the JBL factory stereo with the amp and sub woofer in the back.  I added a cd changer but other than that it is the stock system.  I am trying to use an  XM stereo but am having issues with the cassette adapter (it only plays through one speaker).  I have tried several adapters, cleaned the deck and still get only one channel most of the time (periodically it works great on both speakers).  Since tapes play fine, I am about to give up on the cassette adapter and would like to add an auxiliary input to the deck.  I see products out there to do this but do not know what parts i need.  Any suggestions on how i should go about adding the aux input would be greatly appreciated.  Also, if you have any thoughts on the cassette player that would be great.

Answer
hello
this device is so easy to install that i always keep a few in stock for my customer with ford vehicle

this unit plugs in to the factory cd changer plug inside your center console  and it is only 2 plugs, nothing else no power

this will give you 3 auxiliary audio inputs to your radio
to add xm ipod, dvd or any audio source it also lets you keep your factory cd changer

everything you need is in this kit
good luck
