Audio Systems: ProTools, multitrack recording software, protools suite

Question
Tell me everything you know about ProTools.  Don't leave out any details.

Answer
I don't know too much about ProTools myself, but there are tons of sites with various kinds of tutorials, instructions, explanations, user groups, etc.  The original ProTools suite has gone through several iterations and the addition of such embedded features such as when Digidesign added Sebelius it upgraded it considerably.  I don't now what version they are on now, but as near as I know version 7.4 is the most current.

Of course you have been to the digidesign website and learned all they have available.

A very good overview can be found at:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pro_Tools

A very good comparison of various multitrack recording software is at:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_multitrack_recording_software

A good tutorial on applications and studio use can be found at:
http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbnInquiry.asp?z=y&endeca=1&isbn=15...
(for a price, of course, but not too bad)

If you google around you will find tons of technical and not-so technical geek talk, applications, user experiences, questions and so on.

Now, my request to you is to tell me what your interests are, project you are working on, equipment you are using, your state of recording knowledge/experience, etc. so I can zero in on something specific.  The subject you gave me is too broad to focus down on.  Leaving out no details, for example, would require volumes and volumes.
