Audio Systems: car audio system, sony system, radio volume

Question
I had a chrysler Town & County 2005 Touring model. I wanted to change the factory installed audio system to an MP3, i-pod compatibles Sony system. But the technician at Circuit City could not install it, because, it going to cut the audio of DVD player (factory installed) system. He says I cant do it unless I change the DVD system also. Is there any way around that.

Answer
there is a way but it is no easy to do
you can keep all the system you have and use this to add the ipod

you also need this cable to charge the ipod and get the audio from the ipod preamp  you will use the factory radio volume

or you can replace the radio you need 1 with ipod controls and AUX input or split the signal using this interface when the ipod plays the video will stop, you also need a very good installer to keep the factory dvd
but yes it is posible
