do you know where i should hook up my amp hot wire on my 97 intrepid? i hooked it up to the battery and it killed my battery in like 2 days

Answer
I assume you are talking about the main power to the head unit.  And, yes, if you connected to the battery it would remain ON all the time, consuming a steady drain on the battery.

You should connect it to an ignition wire such that current drain is only when the key is switched on.
