Audio Systems: jensen cd6112 sub on off option is gone, wall penetrations, multi conductor cable

i lost the option to turn the sub on and off it used to work fine but now isn't even in the menu on the head unit display please help

Answer
The cable between the head unit and the sub is a multi-conductor cable for both the audio and control.  I would initially check both ends to be sure that the connections are solid.  Then check the cable run.  If there is a broken wire anywhere within the cable, it could show up like this.  Pay particular attention to any wall penetrations that may have frayed the cable and shorted a wire or two to ground.
