I have an 800w amp and I have a 8 gauge 550w amp wiring kit will that be good for the amp

Sounds like car audio. 8 gauge cable is used to carry 100 hundred amperes at 220 volts. Car audio techs have been smoking to much weed for too long. It's like buying a powerful computer to look at email. You should forward this question to someone who things this makes sense.
