Audio Systems: Audio DVD, car cd players, inch lcd screen

Question
Hello

I have a HONDA Accord 2004 with a 6 Disc Changer. First, I am wondering if I can play on the CD player an audio DVD created with WMA, MP3, etc.? If I do, what kind of DVD I should use?? What will be the way to record it (extension of audio files) in order to be able to play it?

Thanks and best regards

Answer
No.  Dvd players will play audio cds, but no cd player will play dvd discs of any kind.  Why? Because the data storage arrangement it totally different and a cd player cannot recognize the format.

However, some car cd players are equipped with the ability to play the audio from dvd players; if so, it will have the dvd trademark symbol somewhere on the unit.  Also, some Hondas do have a dvd player as an option, but it also would have the overhead 7 inch LCD screen for which to play movies.  If you have that, you have a dvd player.

And, if it IS a dvd player it should play any format.

However, since you only want audio, why don't you just use a CD-R and record them on that format - which will play on your cd player for sure.

Let me know if you need more.

PS: By the way, are you burning the disc on your home computer that has the dvd burner?  If so, they mostly will burn CDRs, so just use recordable CDs and you should be okey.
