Audio Systems: my amps wont go off, amp off, fuse box

Question
i noticed my amps wont go off now, ever since a small blue wire that connects at the fuse box of my 2006 impala ls. got loose. i re-connected it where i though i was originally but they wont go off when the rest of the car is off.  i was wondering if you could help me out and let me know where this cable connects to

Answer
Yes, the blue wire is the Turn ON wire. It is to be connected to the power on the head unit such that when the head unit powers on it turns on the amp.

So, look around and see if you can find the right connection on the in-dash head unit.  The blue wire must go there.

Another possibility, if you can't find the right connection on the head unit you could connect it to one of the ignition or switched 12v places. This way at least the amp would go off whenever the ignition is turned off.

In the worst case you could purchase a small switch at a car parts or electronic supply store and wire it up to the blue wire such that you can manually turn the amp OFF and ON.

Hope this helps.
