QUESTION: Hi, no tinting added, no FM Modulator that I know of (where would I look?) as I
bought it used a few years ago and problem was there then.  Possibly a rear
window was broken and replaced before I bought it.   Thanks

ANSWER: IF there is no antenna in the vehicle is because is in one of the back windows look at the lines and you will see a second set if there was window tinting and later remove it will damage the window if the window was replace maybe they use a low cost glass to save money no antenna lines
or if there was a fm modulator cd changer that will cause the same problem
the radio needs to be remove to look for the antenna connections

QUESTION: HI, THERE IS AN ANTENNA ON THE RIGHT FRONT FENDER.  I HAVE REMOVED THE
RADIO AND IT IS CONNECTED O, WHEN YOU DISCONNECT IT THE RADIO JUST
GOES TO STATIC.  IT'S A GRAND CHEROKEE, THERE'S NO ANTENNAS IN THE
WINDOW GLASS.  THANK YOU...

Answer
go to the auto parts and buy a $10.00 antenna  pull the radio out and plug that antenna don't install it  this is just to test the radio
If the radio sounds better replace the antenna with the original  stay away from rubber antennas  if the reception is the same  your radio tuner needs to be repair
