Audio Systems: my radio, aftermarket radio, mustange

Question
I'm tring to take the original radio in my 95 mustange and replace it with a touch screen dvd/cd player how do I do so

Answer
With great care, of course!  I am sure you knew that.

Look through

as this will give you some idea of how to get the old radio out and what the wiring scheme looks like.

I highly recommend you go to www.crutchfield.com and look through their custom installation guide for your car.  They will walk you through the models that are compatible with your car.  If you purchase from them they will provide you with installation instructions and a wiring harness to match the new unit with the cars wiring.  You don't need to purchase from them, but Crutchfield is the master on installing aftermarket systems in just about any vehicle still on the road.

If you have never installed an aftermarket radio I suggest you use a professional who knows your car.  The cost will not be so much and you will get a professional job.

But, ask me more questions if this is not sufficient.

PS:  At www.installer.com you will find various tools and adapter plates for mounting just about any radio in any car.
