Towing Issues: Want to work for myself, variable fees, tow truck

Hello my name is Eli and I used to drive a tow truck for a company before I entered the military now I drive one for the military and I plan to get out in approximately two years what my question is , what would be the best way for me to go about starting my own towing business? I plan on returning to my home of Michigan in the Wayne County area any ideas , suggestions, estimates of my potential start up cost would help me aim at my goal even better ...thank you very much

well how to answer this question is really hard.

Costs for insurance, an office or yard, permits - authorities, truck are all variable fees and as such I can not tell you what it would cost to start a towing business...   Could be $ 5,000.00  to $ 75,000.00 or more..

How much to save, that's one of those questions also,  but I would plan on having enough to pay all the bills in question and live for a year or more before you realize a profit..

There is a saying in the business..
