Audio Systems: How to play a split track CD, line mixer, headphone jack

Question
QUESTION: I am trying to use a split track CD but after lots of net research am unable to find a CD player that is capable of adjusting the balance between the left and right speaker.  Is there a way to use external speakers connected to a CD player that will allow me to play one track only (ie. sound, not voices)?  Anything you can suggest would be appreciated.

ANSWER: You should have written me before you assumed that what you wanted to do was difficult. It is really very easy and all you needed to do was get a simple mixing device that would work with any CD player or stereo source to use whichever channel you want in stereo or mono mixing it to stereo or mono from either channel. You limited ourself by buying a CD player with a rare function when it's not a function that is part of that componentry.

QUESTION: Would this mixer plug into the headphone jack if there is no line out jack? The key for us is portability as it is used for 15 minutes per week for the Sunday school program. It needs to be quickly and easily set up and taken down.

Answer
If you want my advise and want the easiest setup and breakdown use an iPod and buy this accessory http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Product_Id=277661 Once it is recorded you can mix it anyway you want either in the digital domain with software or the analog domain with a small line mixer.
