Audio Systems: ford stereo, ford stereo, wiring harnesses

Question
Recently the stereo was stolen out of my 97 ford f150 pickup.  I want to buy a newer factory stereo/cd player but ford changed the connector plugs in 98.  Is there an adapter to allow my 97 ford to use the 98 stereo.  Do you know where I can purchase this adapter?

Answer
Yes, Adapter wiring harnesses are available at several places.

www.crutchfield.com
www.installer.com
and eBay - with a search.

Also, you can manually trace out the wiring and make the connections based on where the go and what the connections are on the new radio.  This method requires some know-how and technical skill.

Also, you can buy the original oem radio from places like:
http://www.oem-auto-accessory.com/factory_ford_radios.html
and others that are online.

Hope this helps.
