Auto Insurance Claims: car hits gas meter, gas meter, steel line

Question
By the way, I am the plumber!!!
A car wipes out a roadside gas meter. Gas gets shut off at the house. Gas company requires new line all the way to the residence being it was a steel line.
People are still with no gas and insurance seems to be dragging their feet
Homeowner doesn't have the money to pay up front
any ideas????

Answer
Hi Brian,

This is a tough situation. The only thing you can do is to try to escalate the claim to a claims manager. Call the manager, explain the situation and try to push to get some action. Under the circumstances thats about all you can do. Legally, the insurance company has 30 days to investigate and either pay or deny the claim.

I hope this helps
