Audio Systems: surround sound/ tv, trouble shooting guide, rca model

Question
I actually have 2 questions. Q1: I have a hitachi surround sound system and for some reason it will only play the background music on the 2 front and 2 back speakers, and it plays everything in the center speaker. I have tried to fix it through all the menu's but cant seem to figure it out even in the trouble shooting guide.
Q2: I have a 52 in RCA (model MM52110, made in 2001) and I bought it from someone else about a month ago. I was watching tv and all of a sudden the colors went wierd, so I tried to realign the lenses but it would not let me in that menu. then the picture went out. the the tv turned off and now I have picture, but when I turn the tv on it turns off in 3 to 5 seconds, and repeats this a few times, every once in a while it stays on for a few minutes, but then shuts off. what can be the problem?

Q1: Please send model number.
Q2: Without knowing what "colors went wierd" means I can only guess the problem. But, if you mean the colors are misregistered and the convergence settings do not re-align them properly, you have a failure of the convergence system. Repairs will cost around $400.
