Audio Systems: Toyota JBL audio beeps, no sound, 2004 toyota solara, jbl system

Question
QUESTION: After several weeks of popping and intermittent sound, the audio has gone from my factory installed 2004 toyota solara jbl system, being replaced with a constant beeping.  The head powers up and appears to function...but a constant beeping is all that emits from the speakers.  Dealer says it's a head issue, but the head seems to be operating...popping leads me to believe it's the amp.  Any thoughts on how I might isolate the issue to determine the culprit?

ANSWER: 2004 USES A DIGITAL toyota jbl amplifier  most of the times it is on the amplifier
but the radio can also make the beeps
remove the radio and test before you pull the amplifier

sorry i can not help you more

QUESTION: What equipment would I use to test the radio?  Similar question for the amp if the radio is ruled out?  (The amp, being behind the glove box seems the much easier removal...any tips for the removal of the radio?
Thanks!

Answer
take the radio out first and test it outside the vehicle you can use a signal tracer  or head phones to listen to the audio or any car audio tech can use any toyota amplifier to test it
with some older amplifiers the volume goes to full and can not be adjust,
in that case there is nothing wrong with the radio
there is no way to test the amplifier with out a toyota radio
