Audio Systems: Car subwoofer to garage stereo?!, 12v battery charger, sony subwoofer

Ok I was given a sony subwoofer w/ amp and I want to somehow use that in my garage as a stereo of some sort. I dont know anything about car stereo. Please tell me what stuff do i need/buy? Thank you

The easiest thing to do is to buy a 12V battery charger, the kind they sell at Home Depot. Then you can use any 12V car audio with it. Don't expect to save much money or achieve results better then simply using a 110VAC subwoofer. Car subwoofers generally use notch filters to utilize the resonant frequency of the body of a car.
