Audio Systems: preamps, push button switch, rca phono

Question
hi, is it possible to loop two preamps together so as  to switch from one to the other instead of having to switch out cables. certain music sounds warmer on one and harsher on the other. i have an acurus ls-11 and an adcom 710 preamp(s). my power is an onkyo m504 if that helps.

Probably not a good idea to "loop" them together as one will be passing through the other (such as if you send the harsh one through the warmer one) and may give you a third sound all together.

I suggest you just use a push button switch; both preamp outputs go to the switch; the output of the switch goes to the input of the Onkyo power amp.

will do the job, but there are many other similar models at Walmart, Kmart, Target and better audio stores. Cost is low and installation is very simple.
