Car Stereos: Jetta Monsoon radio static, mobile electronics store, antenna amplifiers

My CD player and tape player are fine. Several of my radio stations are static free. Four stations have so much static I cannot hear them. NPR is one and it is my favorite. Do you think it may be the antenna? Also who do I go to for fixing?

Jan,  I think your equipment is working fine.  You are dealing with some weak or far away signals.  They make antenna amplifiers that will boost the incoming signal and probably will bring in the stations you are getting static in.  You should be able to find these amplifiers at most mobile electronics store, like Best Buy.  They will install it for you for a fee.  Hope this helps, Scott
