Audio Systems: Matching speakers w/ Receiver, onkyo tx, yamaha ns

Question
Jerry; Far from the quality of my home theater system, but here it is: Receiver #1: New Onkyo TX-8211, 50 Watts/channel,recommends speakers w/ 4 Ohm minimum.
Receiver #2: New Sherwood RX-4105, 105 Watts/channel, recommends speakers with impedance of "OVER" 8 Ohm.  Both recommendations for speakers are based on using only one set of speakers hooked up.
Speakers #1 Old set of Bose AM-III's, power handling 2x50 watts, Normal IEC impedance 5 Ohms, Compatible w/receivers from 10-100watts/channel rated 4-8 Ohms.
Speakers #2:  New Yamaha NS-AW350 rated at 6 ohms.
I ORDERED THE YAMAHA'S FOR MY PATIO AND BOUGHT THE SHERWOOD SO I WOULD'NT HAVE TO RUN 75' OF SPEAKER CABLE FROM THE ONKYO WHICH IS CURRENTLY HOOKED UP TO THE BOSE AM-III'S IN THE DEN.  WOULD MY BOSE BE BETTER SERVED BY THE SHERWOOD AND WOULD THE ONKYO BE A DECENT MATCH WITH THE YAMAHA'S? I'M THINKING THAT'S THE WAY TO GO WITH WHAT I HAVE, BUT IS THERE A "DOWNSIDE" TO THIS SET-UP?  THANKS,
Ray

Answer
Hi Ray,
After some additional research on these, I do not see an issue either way :)
It would be fun (in my opinion) to swap the receivers from room to room to see how they differ. They should sound a tad different as to headroom and the bottom line will be your personal tates, of course.
Swapping the speakers will yield defferences due to the room accoustics (more than anything else), so that might be fun as well, but would not be quite as scientific.

Good luck, have fun and thanks for the question.
