Audio Systems: 1984 Corvette Delco Bose Head Unit Color Code, alpine cd changer, corvette delco bose

Hey Kelly. I have a 84 Vette with Delco Bose System and I am adding Old Alpine CD changer with FM modulator.I have to keep car stock for the car shows in my division. I have wired several Audio systems but in older cars. On the vette at the fuse block there are not any accessory post or plugs. So I would think hooking into the lead wires of the Stock Head unit would be fine. I need to know the color codes of the wires. All I need is a 12volt main sourse and a 12 access or memory. I hope you can help me with this info or If you have a better way or sugestions would be great. Thanks for your time and info  Henry Hardy

GM has kept the same color codes for years, so it's pretty easy. You just need yellow for switched power, orange for memory power, and black or radio case for ground. If there is no orange at the radio, tap the wire for the cig. lighter power. it's usually full time power also.
