Audio Systems: 2001 Chrys 300M OEM speaker replacement, system amplifier, infinity system

Question
Hi Ernesto,

I've read many of your responses, but none seemed to directly answer this question pertaining to Chrysler 300M OEM speakers:

Maybe I like my music too loud, but the problem is that I have 3 blown speakers... one tweeter and both door 6" subwoofers. My question is: Can I replace those speakers with component speakers WITHOUT changing from the OEM head unit and if so, HOW? I've heard this and that about OEM amps, crossovers and what have you, but it's all a bit confusing, so I'd appreciate some clarification. It is the infinity system (don't know if it's 7 or 10).

Thanks!

Answer
HI
the infinity sound system amplifier works best at 1.5 or 2 ohms, this means that if you install 4 ohms speaker you will only get half of the power of the amplifier
it is best to replace  the speaker with originals from any dodge or chrysler vehicle  i have use  town and country 6x9 door speakers in a 2000 300m  more bass :) very good ugrade
if you have to use 4 ohms speakers aftermarquet it is best to replace the amplifier  ,keep the original radio and use a soundagte x4 interface
good luck
