Audio Systems: TR-2840 bi-amp connection, internal crossover, crossover network

Question
an I drive the TR-2840 loudspeakers with one amp? Connecting the bottom two and the top two connections together.

TR-2840 PIANO BLACK

Answer
I don't know much about these speakers; they pop up in many places and seem to have two or three manufacturer names behind them.

If yours are the bi-amp version they must have a crossover network either internal or external to the two connections for each box in order to drive them with one amplifier. If there is no internal crossover, you must ad one externally between the speaker terminals and the amplifier.

If they have an internal crossover for the sub and the uppers, then the answer is Yes, you can connect them and drive with one amp.  So, check it out.  If you don't know how to tell if there is a crossover inside, you must open up the back (or front, depending on how the cabinets are constructed) and peak inside.
