Audio Systems: mid/bass, boom boom, old pioneer

Question
I'm not sure you can help, but I hope so.  I have a 01 c1500. I instaled 2 10" niche subs  (I wanted JL but I was informed they are one in the same).  They F-----  rock stupid with a down fire box and a 450.2 rockford.  Since this truck has the 8 way seats I used an old pioneer pre-amp mounted in the console to adjust the amps.  Regardless,  I ran the niche 6.5 components with a alpine mrp 200f.  The ass end sounds ground breaking, the mid and the highs suck.  I need some help please tell me if you can how to remedy this problem.  I'm  in nthis install for 26 hours.  Piped right, noy a wire showing, every ground ohmed out to 0.  I want some mid bass punch and good tweets.  Not that annoy crap one hears down the the road going BOOM BOOM.  A class act is what I want.  Thank you.  I hope you can help.  Ricky

Answer
You did not give me enough information to give a very intelligent response (such as the vehicle and the mounting configuration of all the speakers in the acoustic spaces) however it seems your problem may be related to balance of the acoustic output from each speaker in the system.

Where there are different sensitivities and mounting locations it requires the adjustment of power being fed into each speaker.  So, adjust the sound level down on the subs and keep the amps feeding the mids and subs at their highest level.  That will help.  Doing the balance is a subjective process and it may require many different music programs until you get it adjusted best for overall sound quality.

Hope this helps.
