Audio Systems: infinity, infinity system, dodge durango

I have a 2002 dodge durango with an infinity stereo. the cd player works fine and the speakers all sound good but there is no radio reception. we have had the antenna and wires replaced and it seems to be the receiver itself. what i was wondering is if the infinity system is a stock dodge deck with an infinity amplifier and speakers,or is the deck different too because the stock one looks the same as my infinity.

The Dodge decks of that era can be swapped back and forth, base model to infinity. They are one of the only brands that this can be done with. Personally, I would not waste time "upgrading" to the Infinity deck unless you have a spare already, or someone's giving you one. A new after market radio is far and away a better upgrade, sonically, and warranty wise.
