Audio Systems: Error message on DVD system, chrysler town and country, disc dvd player

I have a chrysler town and country.  My 6 disc dvd player is showing an error message and will not work.  Is there a reset button or anything I can do myself to fix it?

It can be reset, but I don't give it a high probability that will restore it.

To reset it must have the power removed.  To do so, lift the positive terminal of the battery under the hood.  NOTE: This will kill all the power to the vehicle.  Power must be removed from the dvd  player for at least 15 minutes.  NOTE ALSO: If your player has anti-theft encoding you must have the anti-theft code in order to restore power after the battery is connected back up.

If the reset does not help you will either have to replace the player or have it repaired.

You did not give me the year of your vehicle, so I can't give you precise information on a replacement changer, but if you google for it you can find them on eBay and installer.com type places.
