Audio Systems: NAKAMICHI SS5 ERROR, logic circuitry, screw driver

Question
Hi. My name is Patti and my friend, Susan, stuck a 4th CD in a 3 CD changer Nakamichi SS5 Stereo. I think that is what she did since I wasn't there. Anyway, there is an error message that says...E--MECHA. In the instructions, it says to turn off power and then turn on power and I did that a few times. It makes a noise, then the same error comes on and then nothing happens. There is no reset button and no hole to push with a paperclip to release the CD carousel. I don't know what to do for her. Can you please help me?
Thanks.

Answer
Since the eject button is not opening the drawer my first guess is that she placed 2 CD's in one compartment. If she had placed a CD upside down, the Nakamechi logic would probably open the drawer or allow her to open the drawer. If she is handy and careful not to use a screw driver as a crowbar she can carefully open the cover and hope that Nakamechi was smart enough to leave an opening where she can carefully remove the CD's. Short of that I say she's in for a $60 minimum on an authorized service station opening it. The likelihood of it simply being logic circuitry error is low on the totem pole.
