Audio Systems: 2002 Ford Taurus CD player problem, climate control unit, ford taurus

Hello. My daughter has a 2002 Ford Taurus SES with the integrated radio/CD player/climate control unit. I believe it is a single-CD player, not an in-dash changer. Whenever we put a CD into the slot, the player takes it in and then spits it back out after a couple of seconds. It does this with every type of CD we have tried. Any suggestions regarding what I can do to fix this problem would be greatly appreciated.

the radio needs to be repair if the laser can not read the cd it will ejct it in 5 seconds  repair cost about $150.00 to $220.00

you can also add a cd changer to that radio the plug is in the trunk
