Audio Systems: tv/dvd, video option, channel 3

how do I get the audio to play after hooking up my dvd to the tv, I get the audio from channel 3, but not the sound track from the dvd I do get the picture.?

Can you give me the make and the model?  All manufacturers have a different procedure.

But, in most cases, you must punch the video option on your remote.

Also, check the osd settings and any cables you may be using. If the dvd is a separate unit, you may have it connected wrongly.
