Audio Systems: Best way to record lecture, digital voice recorder, classroom lectures

Question
Hello Cleggsan,
Perhaps an offbeat question. In the early nineties I recorded classroom lectures on C120 cassette tapes.  I haven't recorded since and how technology has changed.  What would you now recommend to record long lectures?  Perhaps something that can be recorded on a Flash Card, so I can plug it directly into my computer with a card reader.  Thanks.
Regards,
Usuff

Answer
Most students are, now days, using the little pocket chip recorders. They are self contained and can record up to many hours.  Walmart and just about any electronics store sells them.

Most common are RCA and Sony brands, but there are many other brands.  They will record 2 to 40 hours and cost from $40 to $200.

Here are some:

They are fun little gizmos.  Hope you get one.
