Audio Systems: amp, speaker impedance, amplifer

Question
I have a 800 watt lanzar vibe amp and 2 12 inch audiobahn subwoofers. Now my only problem is when I turn my stereo up my amplifer will go into protection in a few seconds, but it turns back on after i restart the car. So how can I stop my amp from going into protection

Answer
Here are the possibilities I can think of:

1.You may not have the woofers connected properly.
2. There is a short in the wiring between the amp and speakers somewhere.
3. There is too much voltage drop on the wiring between the battery and the amp causing the voltage to drop too low when the volume goes up.
4. Back to No. 1, the speaker impedance may be too low for the amp. If you have it in bridge, the load likes to see 4  ohms; if you have the two 2 ohm woofers in parallel it will give an impedance (1 ohm) too low for the rating of the amp.
