Audio Systems: Changing format of what I am recording, latest version of windows media player, windows media player

I had to do a system restore on my XP and then i restored its original applications. Before this, I used to be able to burn this cd with no problem, but now when I burn try to burn it, it records it in a format that is not playable on my stereo.
Is there a way to change the format of what you are recording?

Depends on what application you are using to burn CDs. I would recommend downloading the latest version of itunes. It has served me well for burning gift audio cd's that would play in my fiancee's car stereo. You could also try the latest version of windows media player, or Roxio's products.
