Audio Systems: 1994 Ford Explorer, rear cargo area, stupid self

Question
I am trying to install an aftermarket cd player in my car but my stupid self decided to cut the thick gray wire.  The connector that came with the cd player has more wires than what was in the car.  Do i have to manually connect the wires and what do i do about the extra wires?
 Thanks in advance

Answer
The thick grey harness is for the premium audio system. You have lots of work ahead of you. Your best bet is to use both an adapter harness and an amp bypass cable (Scosche makes nice ones) and put the gray harness back together.  You need to remove the entire right rear cargo area to accomplish this. This eliminates the Ford "brain" completely.
