Audio Systems: Installation question ( car stereo in boat ), sony cdx gt300, amp fuse

Question
Hi Mark
I have sony CDX-GT300 that my son took out of his car. I will be putting it in my boat. As such, I have two questions.

1- I will secure power from a 12 volt wiring block in the boat's dash. There will be no amplifiers in the system. What size in line fuse should I use?
2- Since I will only have two speakers ( Left & Right ) what type of wiring configuration should I use. Another words, should left front and left rear be connected to each other for the left speaker, etc?

Thanks

Answer
typically a cd player will draw at most 10 amps if that.  I would start with a 10 amp fuse and if it blows use a 15 but the 10 shouldn't blow.

as for the wiring, if you only have 2 speakers, only use 2 speaker wires.  you cant "bridge" a cd player's output NEITHER in series or parallel.  so only use the front speaker outputs.
