QUESTION: how do i hook up the rca audio extensions in a 96 ford mustang? i cant find the speaker wires in the stock head unit
ANSWER: There are no speaker wires at the head unit, only signal wires that go to a premium sound amp. An easier solution is to tap speaker signal at the back of each rear speaker, then run it into a speaker to RCA level converter, or if your amp has it, speaker level inputs.

You can just run switched power to it, unless you really want the amp to turn off when you turn the radio power off, in that case look for a power antenna wire. There are speaker level sense boxes you can buy, but really, switched power from the fuse box is fine.
