Audio Systems: 1999.5 Nissan Pathfinder, ohm speakers, portable cd player

Hi Ernesto,

My wife and I have a 99.5 Pathfinder we love but the stock Bose CD player just quit working. I went to Best buy to see about a replacement deck and was told I need a new wiring harness and speakers becauser the Bose system uses 2 ohm speakers. First off is this true and second is using ballpark figures how much do you think I should spend for a comparable system? Third I am fairly capable at electronics repair and feel I can install a lot myself, should I? I would like a system that plays my Ipod and CD's (don't really need the tape player, although it is working to play my Ipod and portable CD player now.).

yes that os crrect about the bose system but you can keep all the bose system and replace the radio  soundgate makes bose interfaces to replace the radio with aftermarquet

any new alpine or pioneer radios will control the ipod and work with the bose system
