Audio Systems: car audio amp, bmw e39, car fiat

Question
hi

i own a bmw e39 and was wondering how easy it would be for me to wire my 4 channel jbl power series amp into my car in the boot. will it invole ripping up the inside to get wires in e.t.c. which i dont want to do as the the car has no rattles or squeaks and i would like to keep it that way! it has the normal factory head unit which i dont want to change and it also has the normal 6 cd changer in the boot and factory speakers in front and back shelf. i had no problem installing this amp in my last car (fiat), but the bmw seems a lot more complicated!

i would be very greatful for any help

Answer
I wouldn't mess with it if I were you.  the factory cd player wont have RCA outputs so you'll have to use the high level inputs on the amp.  so basically you'll have to pull out the cd player, run all 8 speaker out wires to the amp and then run 8 more wires from the amp back again to go to the speakers,  not to mention trying to get the power wire through the firewall. etc.
If it aint broke don't fix it.
You'd get much better sound if you simply put bass blockers on all the speakers and added a small sub in the trunk.  that way you could just tap the rear speakers and use that for the high level inputs to an amp.  since the door speakers wouldn't be making bass anymore they'd play allot louder without distorting so you wouldn't need the 4 channel amp on them.
By the way, if you do want to do this.  don't use a 4 channel amp to run a sub!  get a mono or at worst a 2 channel.
good luck!
