Audio Systems: Car Stereo Power Problems, pioneer cd player, mr car

I am rewiring mr car stereo. I hooked everything up, but there seems to be no power going  to my pioneer cd player. When I first hooked it up it worked then I was messing with the speaker wire, and now I can't get any power to the player.

if you were messing with a speaker wire you may have shorted it out and the fuse for the cd blew.  check your fuses.
if there's no fuse blown and you seriously get NO action/display/etc. at the cd player I would like for you to get a meter (18 bucks at walmart) to test the power RIGHT at the cd player.  then we can trace it from there to find the problem.
