Audio Systems: Not too sure if this is up your allie or not..., kenwood kac, kac 7201

I have a Kenwood KAC-7201 800W amp that just stopped working. I checked the fuse leading to the battery and it looks great, I checked the fuses in the back of the amp, they're fine. I'm getting ready to take it to a shop but thought I might find some kind of reason for my amp to just stop working, that way I don't get screwed at the shop, know what I mean? I checked all the simple stuff first, but now i'm clueless. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

is any light on ? in the amplifer
take a litle piece of cable and jump the amplifier from the positive 12 volts to the remote wire maybe it turn on and the probelm is not the amplifier it can be the remote and check the ground of the amplfier and where the grouns make sure the connection is not lose
