Dodge Repair: 1997 Dodge 1500 4x4 5.9 coolant by pass hose, dodge 1500, coust

Do you have to remove any of the ac lines to replace the coolant bypass hose. For this fix I just had a Firestone Dealer the coust would be $610. due to removal of the ac line and recharging the system. The only problem the truck has it is leaking from the bypass hose.

The A/C compressor does need to be moved but the that can be done without removing the hoses. They obviously don't know how to work on your truck. And $610.00 is a bit steep to replace that hose, it should only cost a third of that. Get a second opinion.
