Audio Systems: Aftermarket Faceplate for 2004 Ford Taurus, blown fuses, ford stereo

Kelly: We just purchased a 2004 Taurus. We installed an aftermarket stereo. The ABS light in the dash now comes on all of the time indicating the ABS is not working. We have been told the OEM Ford stereo head and faceplate have some type of sensor for the ABS. Is this true? Is there an aftermarket faceplate available or any other way to fix this issue?  Thank you.

As for the ABS light, the radio has nothing to do with it (on that car) so you probably blew an ignition 2 or 3 fuse, Check both fuse boxes for blown fuses.
