Audio Systems: installing subwoofers, car subwoofers, powered subwoofers

i have never installed anything in my truck but lights where can i go to learn everything i need to know about installing subwoofers and wiring them into my car stereo is there a site that will give me step by step info

There are two basic approaches:
ONE: Separate sub amplifier and sub speakers.
TWO: Powered subwoofers where the amp and speaker are built in.
