Audio Systems: sony cdx-sw200, sony cdx, old battery

I just installed a sony cdx-sw200 in my truck and it will play for a while and shut off and about 10 seconds later it will come back on. can ou help me?

If it comes back on that means the set is going into protection; then resetting itself and coming back on.  This is not good for the player and will cause damage after a while, so it should be solved as soon as possible.

Tell me, does it stop playing only when the sound is loud?  Or when it has played long enough to get hot?  

You see, it could be there is a short of some kind in one of the speaker lines. It could be the speakers in the car are too low in impedance and placing too heavy a load on the amps.  Or, it could by you have speakers wired in parallel and causing the same problem.  Or, it could be you are just driving the audio too loud for the amp to handle.

Another possibility is the voltage to the amplifiers is too low and it cuts out after warming up or too much audio being pumped through it.  This could be a low battery, old battery, too much resistance in the wires feeding the unit.  And, so on.  There are many possibilities.

Maybe try out some of these ideas, then let me know the outcome and we can narrow the search down.
