Audio Systems: need to find a cd changer for 2000 mercury sable, mercury sable, mercury vehicles

hi, My 2000 mercury sable has the control for a 6 disk cd changer on the radio control on the center console. I am looking at junk yards to find a cd changer. Can you tell me what other makes of ford and mercury vehicles and what years I can look to find one in, that will be compatible Thank you,

The biggest problem is getting the mounts and cables as well. You should focus on cars identical to yours, namely Ford Taurus / Mercury Sable of the same body style. That way, you can get the harnesses required.
Have you considered just using an ipod with an fm modulator?
