Audio Systems: su-x502 amplifier, technics amplifier, blown fuse

Question
hi
i have a technics amplifier which is hooked up to various other components in a rack system, cd, turntable etc.
all the components are linked by usual pnono cables as well as power cables which move power from box to box.
when the amp works a red light comes on and it is possible to select an input cd, tuner, etc for amplification. It is no longer possible to selec input, no red light appears any more instead I get a green light and a volume indicator saying 1db(no volume)
i know the amp has power  - green light comes on and if i remove power from amp, other devices stop working -they apparently take power from amp.
I have checked all phono and power cables and they seem ok so I think the prolem lies within the amp.
any help greatfully received

Answer
Hi Vince,

Sorry to say but no "expert" can tell you about specific amps.  It could be a blown fuse, a lose wire, a blow cap, or a broken circuit.  All you can do is consult the manual that came with it, or try to find one to download from the manufacturer if you don't have it any more, and see what you can do, and most likely you'll have to take it to a repair shop or replace it. Good luck!  Cheers, Wink
