I guess the real question is can I do it? I don't see an option in my Windstar manual for the in-dash CD changer. I've seen many of them on E-bay and I would rather have the in-dash changer then install an external changer.  Thanks.

Be careful. You may be able to get an in-dash that has the same mounts, and same harness plugs, and even works, until you try the controls for the kids in the back seat. You might be lucky, but you are taking a chance. Have you considered just using your ipod with an fm modulator Cig. plug cord? Then you have thousands of songs with nothing to install...
