Audio Systems: cap, hiphonics, gauge chart

i have a civic and i have a hiphonics 1500, a 15" adire sub and my question is im getting a cap but im not sure how many Farad and what gauge should be my wires for max sound?. i have 8 gauge wire still should i change it.

8 guage is probably too light for this amp.  you should use the gauge of wire that's appropriate for the maximum amount of amps your amplifier can draw, which is usually what the fuses are rated for or so.  I believe these amps have a fuse just to the left of the power connectors.  take a look a the number on that fuse and get the gauge according to this chart:

having a good ground is extreamly important as well,  I can give you instructions on how to do this if you need it. As for the cap, 2 farad or so should be fine, some of these caps that are rated for 20 farad plus have poor resistances and reponce times so they dont end up working as well. what's your price range for the cap?  I'll make some recomendations if you want.
